InteractSport are excited to today announce they are the Official Streaming Partner of Queensland Premier Cricket, providing their match day streaming solution FrogBox to all clubs for the next two seasons.
The collaboration, which also includes the continuation of the dedicated match centre for Queensland Premier Cricket, follows on from the success of last season’s ground-breaking deal that broadcasted every First Grade Men’s and Women’s match.
The value of capturing match day vision will be taken one step further by the partnership between InteractSport and Queensland Cricket this year, with plans to release a Premier Cricket highlights reel for players and fans to enjoy the very best of the action from each week.
This new level of engagement and coverage provides an exciting opportunity for cricket in the State according to Queensland Cricket CEO Terry Svenson.
“This partnership assists us to meet one of our strategic priorities, which is to amplify the awareness and coverage of Premier Cricket through initiatives like live streaming and the creation of a highlights show,’’ he said.
“Additionally, live streaming of Premier Cricket games delivers important insights in the high-performance space. With so many of State-contracted Queensland Bulls and Queensland Fire players in action in the early rounds of Premier Cricket, our coaching and performance staff will enjoy an unprecedented window to appraise how our training and squad preparations are tracking.”
“Our players enjoy having a platform that showcases their performances, with their friends and families able to tune in live or watch the highlights after play,’’ Svenson said.
“Most importantly for us, the clubs have really embraced the technology as a new way to engage supporters and promote their clubs with very little administrative impact, which for the hard-working volunteers who do so much for our game, is an outstanding result.”
The automated video system, FrogBox, provides a professionally delivered match day experience inclusive of live streams, automated scoring graphics, sponsor integrations and automated highlights - all through InteractSport’s leading cloud-based video solution. The portable FrogBox kit, a data service and a tablet or phone to live score is all that is needed to start streaming, ensuring volunteers will have no extra work on match day.
InteractSport’s Chief Operations Officer Rob Knee, added:
“The strong relationship with Queensland Cricket has been at the forefront of our streaming success story, and we are excited by this new 2-year agreement to further explore the opportunities created through the match day vision. The highly anticipated highlights show will further showcase Men’s and Women’s Premier Cricket in Queensland, and we’re excited to see it and be a part of it”.
“Our automated streaming product was well received in each of the Premier Cricket games during trials last year and our Early Adopter program available for clubs this season is almost at capacity, so things are looking very bright for the success of FrogBox.”
The Queensland Cricket Premier Competition starts on Saturday 5th September. You can find the match centre and all the live streamed matches at https://matchcentre.premier.qld.cricket.com.au/
